Today, my DUE DATE!, started out rough with Alex, who supposedly has an ear infection. Thankfully things have gotten better :-) I had a lovely morning at MOPS, surrounded by friends and fun. It was a special game day and it was a good time. We mostly rotated to different tables playing games like Catch Phrase, Uno, Yahtzee, etc. But there was also a rousing game of volleyball set up in the gym (with a huge beach ball) that I participated in. I was determined to break my water, didn't happen.
My mom came down last night. She missed us and just felt it was time for her to be here, which has been nice. She has played with Alex non-stop all day today, spoiled kid. I just did things around the house this afternoon and then Mike met up with me at the doctor's office for my 40-week appointment. I wanted to leave the appt. with a plan of action and, thankfully, we have one! Dr. says I am 4-5 cm dilated (Praise God!) and baby has dropped quite a bit from last week, so the wheels are in motion. I've felt a lot of pressure and just general discomfort, but rarely contractions...yet. IF I do not go into labor on my own by Friday morning, I will be induced at the hospital at that time. Let's just get this out of the way right now...I'm sure baby will be a good size, so I don't need to hear comments about what a big girl she is constantly, m'kay? :-) Big and healthy is GOOD!
I am pleased with this plan and so looking forward to holding my sweet girl in my arms very, very soon. Stay tuned. Thank you so much for your comments, thoughts and prayers. We love our friends and family immensely.
