I finally had my much-anticipated 20-week ultrasound yesterday. I swear I didn't breathe for the first few minutes of it actually. But, THANK YOU GOD!, the baby looks good at this point. The most perfect head shape (and brain!), heart, limbs and features. And it appears this baby likes pink! We couldn't be more thrilled about both outcomes. Not to be a Debbie Downer, or anything, but I do not feel like we are completely in the clear at this point. All I can do is continue to pray that she will stay healthy and come home to us!
I just had this urge to go and buy something girly and pink right after the ultrasound, so I headed straight to Target. I was in heaven surrounded by all of the cutesy clothing. I bought a couple pieces of apparel and a stuffed animal/blanket lovey. Oh my, I'm sensing this is only the beginning!
Here are some pictures of our sweet girl. A little hard to capture because she liked to put her hands in front of her face....a lot. The first one is her profile and the second apparently (I'm clueless at interpreting ultrasound pics) reveals that she is a girl.

I think these pictures are the most beautiful ones you ever posted. I know you were happy to see this, as were we. I am so glad for you and Mike. Alex will have a little sister to look after. I know he will like that. Not to mention Nona. She is already buying girl stuff too!!! We cannot wait to meet her.Congratulation!

Awe Amy congratulations!! I am so very happy for you guys!!! I've been thinking a lot about you lately knowing your 20 week U/S was coming up. It's been easy for me to keep track of your dates because.... well... I'm pregnant too! 1 week a head of you!! We are having a girl too! We found out via an Amnio a few weeks ago - but I've been pretty gaurded w/this pregnancy since we lost the last too!And one more crazy coincidence?! We were in Florida the same time you were - only at Disney! Crazy huh!?!
Any way - I'm so happy for you guys and will continue to pray for you!

Congratulations Amy! I don't know if you remember me, but we worked together in Goshen before you moved to Lafayette. I have a 2 month old little girl right now and the clothes are so fun! Wal-mart even sells the cutest and cheapest little outfits for girls. I just wanted to say that your testimony that you posted awhile ago really touched me. That is NOT 90% girl...that is 100% GIRL ALL THE WAY!! And, oh my goodness, she is so gorgeous. I never knew a head could be so beautiful and round, but I'm just staring in awe and thankfulness at this beautiful little girl God has given you. :)Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!
